Hi, I'm

ZISAN MAHMUD

Researcher, Problem Solver, Innovator

About Me

I am Zisan Mahmud, currently pursuing my undergraduate studies in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Dhaka. From the beginning of my academic journey, I have been deeply passionate about research, particularly in the field of Natural Language Processing (NLP) and its intersection with machine learning and deep learning.

As a self-driven and enthusiastic researcher, I have gained first-hand experience in academic research, where I have worked on developing Bangla language datasets and designing algorithms aimed at improving computational understanding of low-resource languages. My work reflects a commitment to bridging the linguistic and technological gap that often limits Bangla's representation in global AI research.

I have actively participated in several deep learning and AI competitions, where I explored innovative architectures, fine-tuning techniques, and model optimization strategies. These experiences have strengthened my ability to apply theoretical knowledge to practical problems and have further motivated me to contribute to open-source and academic research communities focused on Bangla and multilingual NLP.

Beyond technical skills, my primary interest lies in academia and research as lifelong pursuits. I aspire to build a career in teaching and research, where I can both contribute to scientific innovation and mentor the next generation of learners. Teaching is not merely a profession for me—it is my passion and a driving force behind my academic ambitions.

In addition to research and teaching, I am deeply interested in idea development, experimentation, and scientific contribution. I believe that true progress stems from curiosity, collaboration, and the courage to challenge existing paradigms. My ultimate goal is to contribute meaningfully to the advancement of science through persistent exploration and innovation.

Let's invent, explore, and inspire.

How to Start a Research Work

Everyone keeps telling you to "get into research." Read papers. Run experiments. Publish. But almost nobody tells you where the *first* step actually is. When I
